Immunisations

Hanover Medical Centre provides vaccination advice and immunisations for children and adults.

Childhoood Immunisations

Childhood immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting your child against certain diseases. The risks from having these diseases are far greater than the risk of any minor side effects arising from immunisation.

Our doctors provide childhood immunisations according to the schedule in Ireland, which includes the following vaccinations:
  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus
  • Polio
  • Hepatitis B
  • Whooping cough (Pertussis)
  • Hib (Haemophilus Influenza B)

These are referred to as the 6 in 1 and are given at 2, 4, and 6 months of age. Hib is also given at 13 months.

  • Pneumococcal Vaccine – given at 2, 6 and 12 months
  • Meningococcal Vaccine - given at 4, 6 and 13 months
  • Measles Mumps Rubella Vaccine - given at 12 months
  • BCG – This is the vaccine against Tuberculosis and is given at birth or soon afterwards in the Community Health clinics.

Adult Immunisations

Adults aged over 65 or people with certain illnesses including chronic lung, heart or kidney disease, diabetes or those with a suppressed immune system should receive the immunisation vaccines for:

  • Influenza
  • Pneumonia

Whether you are living or working in Dublin city centre, near the IFSC and Dublin Docklands or coming from further afield, we are open 8am-7pm Monday to Thursday and 8am–3pm Friday.

Please call 01 678 6086 or email reception@hanovermedical.ie to schedule an appointment with one of our doctors.
